Why LathMized NAD+ Works When Others Don't

Pills, IVs & Other Supplements

Oral NAD+ is degraded in the gut before reaching cells
NMN and NR are precursors — enzymatic conversion steps required — results vary widely
IV therapy requires clinic visits — NEEDLES — hours of time
Temporary or inconsistent results across the board
No lab-verified intracellular proof
No clinician personalized protocol competing options
No guarantee of potency of product

Clinician FAQ

Questions clinicians tend to ask first

LathMized NAD+ is an oral NAD+ powder made to support cellular NAD+ status under clinician guidance.

It contains NAD+ — nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide — in a stabilized formulation. The goal is simple: make NAD+ easier to use in a real-world clinical setting, without IV administration, refrigeration, or complicated handling.

Most NAD+ products fall into two buckets: IV NAD+ or oral precursors like NR, NMN, niacin, or nicotinamide.

LathMized NAD+ is different because it is a stabilized form of NAD+ itself, and it has human clinical data showing a meaningful rise in intracellular NAD+.

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, oral LathMized NAD+ increased intracellular NAD+ by roughly 53% after 5 days. Circulating NAD+ did not significantly increase.

That distinction matters. The finding was not just “more NAD+ in the blood.” The signal was inside the cellular blood compartment, where NAD+ biology is most relevant.

The formulation was also developed to address a basic problem with NAD+: it is historically difficult to keep stable and usable as an oral product.

The main clinical study is RENEWAL-NAD+, a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in generally healthy adults between ages 45 and 75.

The study looked at intracellular NAD+, circulating NAD+, NAD+ metabolites, standard clinical labs, vital signs, patient-reported measures, and exploratory metabolomic and proteomic biomarkers.

The main findings were:

  • Intracellular NAD+ increased by about 53% after 5 days
  • Circulating NAD+ did not significantly increase
  • NAD+ metabolism markers MeNAM and 2PY increased
  • Short-term tolerability was favorable
  • No concerning safety pattern was seen across clinical labs, vitals, symptom reports, or wearable-derived measures
  • Exploratory omics showed signals related to NAD metabolism, SIRT1 biology, lipid metabolism, oxidative stress, glutathione-related pathways, and mitochondrial/liver-related biology

The clinical deck includes the study design, methods, biomarker data, protocol details, and interpretation for clinicians.

Yes.

The study measured intracellular NAD+ in the cellular blood compartment and circulating NAD+ in plasma. That separation is important because many NAD+ studies do not clearly distinguish between cellular and extracellular NAD+.

In this study, intracellular NAD+ increased significantly. Circulating NAD+ did not.

That is one of the key points of differentiation.

It means NAD+ measured inside the cellular blood compartment, not just floating around in plasma.

That matters because NAD+ does most of its important work inside cells. It is involved in energy metabolism, redox balance, mitochondrial function, DNA repair signaling, sirtuin biology, and cellular stress-response pathways.

The current data support an intracellular NAD+ increase in blood cells over a short-term protocol. They do not prove that the same increase happens in every tissue, such as brain, liver, muscle, or specific immune-cell populations.

The powder is mixed into a small amount of water. The patient holds it in the mouth briefly using a swish-and-swallow method, then swallows.

A common clinician-reported repletion approach uses 500 mg per dose, but dosing should be directed by the clinician.

It is better not to say it “bypasses the gut entirely.” The more accurate explanation is that holding it in the mouth is intended to support oral mucosal exposure before the rest is swallowed.

A clinician-guided protocol usually includes:

  • Patient selection
  • Review of medical history and medications
  • Optional baseline biomarker testing
  • A short repletion phase
  • Follow-up assessment
  • An individualized maintenance plan
  • Monitoring for tolerance and response

Not every patient needs the same dose or schedule. The clinician decides how to use it based on the patient’s situation, goals, tolerance, and overall care plan.

The best fit is usually an adult patient who is already working with a clinician and wants nutritional support for cellular NAD+ biology, energy metabolism, mitochondrial function, redox balance, healthy aging, or recovery from physiologic stress.

It should not be presented as a treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome, cognitive decline, insomnia, Long COVID, Lyme disease, cancer, neurodegenerative disease, or any other disease.

Those are disease claims. They require disease-specific clinical evidence and the appropriate regulatory pathway.

Clinicians should use extra judgment in patients with active cancer, pregnancy or breastfeeding, severe kidney or liver disease, complex medication regimens, active autoimmune or inflammatory disease, blood disorders, or unstable medical conditions.

The clinical study was short-term and done in generally healthy adults. So it should not be overextended to every patient population.

No.

LathMized NAD+ is not FDA-approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. It is positioned as a clinician-guided nutritional support product.

Any clinician-facing or patient-facing language should avoid treatment claims unless those claims are supported by the right clinical evidence and regulatory status.

In the short-term RENEWAL-NAD+ study, LathMized NAD+ was well tolerated.

Symptom reporting was similar between the active and placebo groups. One mild nausea event in the active group was considered potentially related and resolved after stopping the product.

No unfavorable safety pattern was seen across clinical labs, vital signs, wellbeing measures, or wearable-derived measures.

That said, the study was short-term and involved generally healthy adults. Longer studies and disease-specific studies are still needed.

A simple way to say it is:

“LathMized NAD+ is a clinician-guided NAD+ nutritional support product. In a controlled human study, it increased intracellular NAD+ over 5 days without significantly increasing circulating NAD+. NAD+ is involved in cellular energy metabolism, redox biology, and cellular repair pathways. This is not a treatment for disease, but it may be considered as part of a broader cellular-health strategy when clinically appropriate.”
